Original Pieces of the Berlin Wall

These segments once stood a the heart of a divided Berlin - a powerful symbol of Cold War tensions. Erected in 1961 and torn down in 1989, the Wall left a lasting ark of lives, ideologies, and the course of history.

They are part of "The Berlin Wall. A World Divided", on view at the "Cite de l'architecture et du patrimoine" from May 14 to September 28. Discover over 200 original artefacts that bring history to life and explore this unique story of division, resistance, and the quest for freedom.
